Integrative
Massage
There are many
massage styles and techniques, most of which share the related goals
of achieving and maintaining good physical condition while providing
a sense of well-being. Integration massage means we will draw upon
techniques from a variety of modalities to best suit your unique
situation. The best of both worlds, therapeutic and relaxing - this
is your maintenance massage.

Swedish Relaxation
Massage
Swedish massage increases circulation and
flushes toxins from the body by using long, smooth, relatively
superficial strokes that move blood and lymph towards the heart.
This gentle massage is very relaxing and is good for relieving
general muscle tension and stress. Swedish massage is also great for
stimulating your immune system.

Therapeutic Deep Tissue
Massage
Deep tissue massage is an approach that
reaches the deeper layers of the muscles and related tissues by
using a variety of techniques such as stretching, deep finger or
forearm pressure and slow, steady, firm strokes. This technique is
excellent for chronic pain, spasms, injury management, increasing
range of motion, flexibility and improving posture. Deep tissue can
also be deeply relaxing.

Sports Massage
Sports massage uses a wide variety of modalities
to increase an athlete's physical performance, quicken recovery time
and provide relief to overworked muscles. A sports massage session
often includes a lot of stretching and passive movement.

Pregnancy/
Pre-Natal Massage
Pregnancy is
a time of changes that may produce discomforts and physical
concerns. These can be addressed with appropriate massage
therapy and body use guidance. Prenatal massage therapy is
beneficial throughout the nine months of a low-risk pregnancy.
If you are
having a higher risk pregnancy, discuss your condition with
your physician or midwife. After further discussion, you may
be able to receive therapy with additional written release.
The benefits
of prenatal massage include relaxation, emotional support,
reduced neck, back, and joint pain, muscle weakness and
tension. Sessions also assist with the management of digestive
complaints such as constipation, gas, nausea, and indigestion! |
